Scientific genealogy tree
It was 2022, as the world was opening up again ater the pandemic. The group had travelled to the Annual European Rheology Conference in Seville, while due to other commitments, I was not able to travel. They came back having met my postdoc and PhD advisers, for the first time. This was a generation that had been deprived of such interactions. So I thought I wouls prepare what we call a ‘science pill’ at our group meetings, talking a bit about my supervisors and their supervisors. This turned into a fantastic journey into the hisotry of science which stopeed 6 months later into the 12th century AD. The most fascinating part was reading how each and everyone of the names listed has pushed the boundaries of science a little bit further, each in their own way. Click on the images for more info.
